The raw materials of sealing plates mainly include the following:
Rubber materials:
Natural rubber: It has good comprehensive mechanical properties, cold resistance, high resilience and wear resistance, but is not resistant to mineral oil. It is suitable for water, seawater, air, inert gas, alkali, salt solution and other media. The long-term use temperature does not exceed 90℃. It has excellent low-temperature performance and can be used above -60℃.
Nitrile rubber: It has excellent resistance to fuel oil and aromatic solvents, low cost, suitable for petroleum products, long-term use temperature of 120℃, can withstand 150℃ in hot oil, and low temperature of -10~-20℃.
Chloroprene rubber: It has excellent resistance to oxygen and ozone aging, and its oil resistance is inferior to nitrile rubber but better than other general rubbers. It is suitable for seawater, weak acid, weak alkali, and salt solution. The long-term use temperature is lower than 90℃, the maximum use temperature does not exceed 130℃, and the low temperature is -30~-50℃.
Acrylic rubber: Excellent comprehensive performance of heat resistance and oil resistance, the operating temperature can be as high as 180℃~200℃, ozone resistance, flex resistance, sunlight aging resistance, good air tightness, widely used in products requiring high temperature resistance and heat oil resistance.
Fluororubber: Best heat resistance (decomposition temperature greater than 400℃), oil resistance (various fuels, hydraulic oils, lubricating oils, synthetic oils), solvent resistance, weather resistance (UV resistance, ozone resistance, radiation resistance), chemical medium resistance, long-term use temperature below 200℃.
Hydrogenated nitrile rubber: It has the characteristics of nitrile rubber, and at the same time has better heat resistance, ozone aging resistance, chemical resistance, good wear resistance, and fuel resistance and ozone resistance are five times higher than nitrile rubber.
Fluorosilicone rubber: It has better fuel and mineral oil resistance than silicone, can work for a long time at a high temperature of 204℃, and is mostly used in the aerospace field, and is also used for the production of seals.
Perfluororubber: It has better high temperature resistance than silicone rubber, has good chemical resistance, resistance to most oils and solvents, weather resistance and ozone resistance, and can resist heat up to 200°C. It is widely used in automotive, electronics, aerospace, shipbuilding and other working environments that require high precision, high temperature resistance and high wear resistance.
Metallic materials: such as aluminum, stainless steel, lead, indium, etc., are often used in sealing plates that require high strength and wear resistance.
Non-metallic materials: such as plastics, graphite, ceramics, etc., these materials show good sealing performance and durability in specific applications.
Composite materials: such as rubber-asbestos board, aerogel felt-polyurethane, etc., which combine the advantages of multiple materials and are suitable for special environments and needs.
