Types of sealing plates

Feb 15, 2025

The types of sealing plates mainly include the following:

Rubber sealing plates: Rubber sealing plates are a common sealing material with excellent elasticity and sealing performance. Common rubber types include:

Natural rubber: Suitable for water, seawater, air, inert gas, alkali, salt solution and other media, but not resistant to mineral oil and non-polar solvents, long-term use temperature does not exceed 90°C, and low temperature performance is excellent.
Nitrile rubber: Suitable for petroleum products such as petroleum, lubricating oil, fuel oil, etc., long-term use temperature is 120°C, low temperature is -10~-20°C.
Chloroprene rubber: Suitable for seawater, weak acid, weak alkali, salt solution, excellent oxygen and ozone aging resistance, oil resistance is inferior to nitrile rubber and better than other general rubbers, long-term use temperature is below 90°C.
Fluororubber: It has good acid resistance, oxidation resistance, oil resistance and solvent resistance, and can be used in almost all acid media and some oils and solvents, and the long-term use temperature is below 200°C.
‌Carbon-silicon-aluminum composite plate‌: This is a new type of sealing material, commonly used in equipment such as rotary kilns, kiln heads, kiln tails and single coolers. Carbon-silicon-aluminum composite plates have excellent sealing performance and high temperature resistance. ‌

Each of these sealing plate types has its own specific application scenarios and performance characteristics. Choosing the right sealing plate can improve the sealing effect and service life of the equipment.
