The storage conditions of fiber sealing gaskets mainly include the following aspects:
Temperature and humidity: Fiber sealing gaskets should be stored in a warehouse with a temperature of -5℃ to +35℃ and a humidity of less than 80%, avoiding direct sunlight, more than 1.5 meters away from heat sources and electrical equipment, and more than 10 cm away from the ground and walls. In addition, the storage room temperature should be maintained between >-10°C and <20°C.
Light: Avoid direct sunlight and ultraviolet rays, and the storage environment should be as dark as possible to avoid damage to the material by ultraviolet rays.
Chemical environment: Avoid storing organic solvents, acids, odor-producing products, etc., as these substances may have adverse effects on sealing gaskets.
Ventilation: Formed gaskets should be avoided from exposure to circulating air, and it is best to place them in a free state to avoid deformation and breakage caused by stretching, heavy pressure, and cross-stacking.
Expiration date: The storage validity period of the gasket material is eighteen months from the date of manufacture. After the above period, it is recommended to inspect and test before use. Good storage conditions can extend the product life.
Packaging: Molded gaskets made of hygroscopic materials must not be exposed to the air for a long time. Unused products must be re-sealed to avoid dimensional deformation due to moisture absorption or drying.
